I have just returned from the Conca Park Hotel and would like to clear up a few false statements on Trip Advisor. All in all this is a excellent, affordable hotel for a holiday destination such as Sorrento.

Restaurant area is not overly attractive, rather impersonal. Coffee comes out of machines ( I've seen this more often in Italian hotels) and was not very nice. Breakfast had a leaning towards British clients with fried food in all forms. The hotel is in the town and can also be quickly accessed by a path next to the pool. The much talked about tunnel was also no problem to us, golf buggies take you up and down if you can't or don't want to walk.

Empty fridge for storing your own drinks. The rooms are fine, good beds and an adequate bathroom. Others have bitterly complained about this but the front of the hotel overlooks the pool and outdoor seating area and was also pretty noisy in the evenings.A huge family visiting made a hell of a racket as the alcohol levels increased. The front of the hotel looks out over the bay and Vesuvius, but the backs faces a cliff which is only a couple metres away from the balconies. Besides attracting guests from the whole of Europe, Grand Hotel Park has been “discovered” by a rising number of guests from the United States of America and Japan. We spent a week here, this hotel is fine apart from one aspect - the noise levels! The floors are tiled and there seems to be no insulation of ceilings and walls so you hear and can almost join in with all your neighbours conversations! Doors banging etc.etc. Special attention needs to be drawn to the current appearance of Grand Hotel Park which looks better than ever thanks to large investments in the design of the interior and exterior. Grand Hotel Park has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, massage and fitness centre. On the ground floor of the hotel there is the main restaurant, where meals are served in a buffet style, aperitif bar and an Internet corner. All the rooms are equipped with a bathroom with either a shower or a bath, hair dryer, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar and air conditioning.

In the main building all the rooms have a balcony, half of which look out over the park and the other half over the sea. Grand Hotel Park contains a main building which has 156 rooms and 6 apartments as well as two separate villas which have a total of 86 rooms with a view over the garden. The promenade continues alongside the sea all the way to hotels Ariston, Neptun and President. Directly alongside the hotel is a pedestrian zone with café bars and restaurants. Just 150 meters from the beach in the Bay of Lapad and around 4 kilometres from the historic Old City of Dubrovnik the hotel is very well situated. Grand Hotel Park is situated in the direct vicinity of a park belonging to the hotel and from where the hotel gets its name.
